Green Tea Extract Cream

The benefits of green tea extract may be accompanied by risks if the dosage is too high. Other nutrients must be present at the same time, in order to avoid these risks. In other words, supplements that contain only the tea extracts and nothing else are not your best choice.

The studies concerning the potential toxicity of the catechins found in green tea were conducted in the same manner as those that describe the benefit. It was found that at high doses, the catechins were toxic to liver cells and caused the depletion of glutathione, an important tri-peptide that also acts as an antioxidant.

Judging by all of the research that has been done, it seems that some antioxidants are important to some parts of the body, but not to others. So, there must be a balance. on the other hand, prevents oxidative stress to the heart and the brain. Resveratrol, another antioxidant, protects the cells of the breast, skin, colon and pancreas from free radical damage that can lead to cancer.

Basically, we need all of these antioxidants, if we want to live a long healthy life, but we don’t want to overdo it. According to respected scientists, to get the benefits of green tea extract, with no risk, the daily dosage should be 100mg per day. If see a supplement that contains more than that, don’t buy it.
